MIGS Works
Exploring Migration Through Audiovisual Storytelling

Moving Images brought together academics, artists, community members, and practitioners to explore the ethics and aesthetics of audiovisual representations of migration.
In July 2025, MIGS hosted a one-day event exploring migration and audiovisual representation.
Bringing together academics, artists, practitioners, activists, and community members, this event showcased diverse audiovisual works created by and with migrants. Via a combination of screenings and panel discussions, we explored the ethics and aesthetics of creating and presenting audiovisual representations of migration and migrants.
